UPPER DARBY, Pa. (CBS) — An Upper Darby man was back behind bars today, accused of exposing himself to three young teenage girls this morning.
Upper Darby police superintendent Michael Chitwood says the girls, all aged 13 or 14, were walking to the Beverly Hills Middle School when they spotted a man ahead of them on the sidewalk acting suspiciously.
Chitwood says when the girls approached, he called them over and exposed himself.
“They get frightened, they run to school, and they tell the security guard,” Chitwood said today. “The security guard calls police, the police come, the girls tell their story, and one of the officers who responded says, ‘Gee, I think I know that guy — I locked him up two years for the same thing, in fact he just got out of jail on Tuesday.’ ”
The superintendent says the girls were taken to a nearby home where they identified the man who answered the door as the suspect.
He is identified as 25-year-old Kevin Nguyen of Bayard Road.
Chitwood said he is hoping the suspect will remain behind bars for a longer period of time in connection with the latest incident.
